UPDATE: Brighids Responds to No Contest Payment Post

A blog post I came across that hit close to home. It seems that mine was not the only contract that Dawn Rivers of Brighid’s Fire Books/Wahmpeneur Publishing did not fulfill. Bad business, writers beware….

*Update – As of 3-17-2015, Dawn Rivers has yet to respond to my attempts to reach her and has yet to pay me one cent of my advance or royalties. If you click on the link to read the original letter in its entirety, she claims that ‘by hook or by crook’ the other author will get her money. I don’t know that she has, but to run a subsequent contest when you haven’t paid all of your previous winners is just wrong. I have to ask, where did the entry fees for these years go if not in any part to the winners? Remember the name – Dawn Rivers, bad businesswoman.

Update: My novel, ‘LILY WHITE LIES’ was published 3 years ago next month and I still have not received any of my advance or a single royalty statement or check. I can still be reached at the same contacts sources as I could three years ago, but I have not received any communications even after extensive attempts to contact my publisher. Authors, beware of these names – Brighid’s Fire Books and Wahmpreneur Publishing. They get their royalty checks from Lightening Source, but if you publish with them, you’ll never see your share of them.
